Short summary
This study projects Greenland's peripheral glaciers' response to climate change using the Open Global Glacier Model (OGGM). They may lose up to 52 % of ice mass by 2100. We predict changes in ice discharge versus melting, affecting fjords, sea levels, and ocean currents. Freshwater runoff composition and peak water timing vary by region and scenario. Our findings highlight the importance of reducing emissions to minimize impacts on these glaciers and their influence on ecosystems.
